Olivier Cappons

Vice Chairman

Olivier is a prominent leader and connector in Canada’s energy efficiency and decarbonization sectors.

 

As Executive Director of Enerva, he partners with governments and utilities to deliver scalable, outcome-based solutions that drive market transformation.

 

With over 15 years of experience collaborating with organizations like SOFIAC, CIET, and the Canadian Standards Association, he has championed advancements in workforce development, deep energy retrofit financing, and the adoption of industry sustainability standards.

 

Passionate about addressing the built environment's significant carbon footprint, Olivier works to bridge the public and private sectors to implement the collaborative programs necessary to achieve Canada’s climate goals.

Jayden Kuzdak

Secretary

Jayden Kuzdak is an infrastructure engineer specializing in resilience planning, sustainable development, and risk-based assessment.

 

Currently at Southern Harbour Ltd., he leads projects focused on infrastructure risk management, climate adaptation, and environmental sustainability.

 

His expertise encompasses strategic planning for resilient systems and post-conflict infrastructure assessment. Jayden holds an MSc in Sustainability Management and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Toronto.

 

Through his work with Rethink Sustainability Initiatives, he applies a systems-based perspective to advance innovative, governance-driven strategies that ensure infrastructure serves both present and future generations.

Junichi Murahashi

Director

Junichi is a finance and real estate professional with extensive cross-border experience and a deep background in asset management.

He began his career at UBS Investment Bank in Tokyo, where his team achieved a No. 1 ranking in Japan for three consecutive years in buy-side investor polls conducted by Institutional Investor Magazine and supported over $1.6 billion USD in REIT IPOs.


He transitioned to managing real assets at Tokio Marine Asset Management, contributing to the due diligence of AIG’s $10 billion USD real estate and CMBS portfolio.

In Canada, he has managed multifamily portfolios for major pension funds at GWL Realty Advisors and QuadReal, overseeing a $3 billion CAD Ontario portfolio for BCI and RBC Global Asset Management.

Gary Kasper

Gary is a seasoned Senior Strategy and Business Development Leader with two decades of experience using analytics to solve complex challenges and foster growth across diverse sectors.

 

Currently, he serves as the Manager of Customer Operations at Quantum Lifecycle, Canada’s leading IT asset disposition and e-waste recycling provider.

 

In this role, he spearheads business growth in emerging markets, leads a dynamic sales team, and has implemented innovative performance management processes to enhance client satisfaction.

His background includes a proven track record of driving sustainability-focused initiatives from concept to execution through meticulous strategic planning. Gary holds a Doctorate in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business with specializations in Marketing and Finance.

Wayne Clancy

Wayne is a pioneer in human-centered organizational development and the founder of theMindSuite™ Human Science GPS platform.

 

With over 30 years of experience, he has collaborated with corporations, governments, and associations to improve performance and culture through data-driven insights into human behavior.

 

He is the creator of several influential frameworks, including the City/Community and Organizational Hierarchy of Needs™, which adapt Maslow’s principles to support more resilient and thriving systems.

Currently, Wayne is advancing research with Arizona State University on "The Business Case for Humanity," focusing on the link between interpersonal factors and organizational outcomes.

Aiden Sweeny

director

Aiden is the President of The Six Real Estate Developments Inc., a firm dedicated to the urban intensification of suburban areas by fostering dense, walkable, and transit-oriented communities that embody the "fifteen-minute city" vision.

 

Through strategic partnerships, he has championed numerous projects across Ontario—including in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, and Waterloo—that prioritize sustainable lifestyles, advanced energy efficiency, and the integration of renewable energy sources within the built environment.

 

Beyond his development work, Aiden is an active angel investor in the clean-tech and prop-tech sectors. He strategically invests in startups that can be incorporated into his own developments.

His work remains centered on accelerating the decarbonization of the built environment through innovation, urban density, and sustainable infrastructure.

Chris Snider

Director

Chris is the Founder of TSG Consulting, Regional Manager at Aviva Risk Management Solutions, and a professor at Seneca Polytechnic.

 

Since 1999, he has held senior leadership roles at major global carriers, including serving as the Interim Head of Zurich Resilience Solutions Canada and establishing global technical standards across 40 countries.

 

A designated Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI), his expertise spans property damage, natural hazards, and complex supply chain risk.

 

Beyond his executive work, Chris is a prominent speaker at international forums, addressing the impacts of climate change and geopolitical events on organizational resilience.

 

Through his combined consulting and academic efforts, Chris continues to drive the evolution of business continuity planning and risk assessment for large commercial portfolios worldwide.

Lisa Lafave

Director

Lisa is a retired institutional investment professional with over 30 years of real estate experience. Her passion includes creating transit-oriented, sustainable communities that embrace diversity and social goals.

Her past experience as a Senior Portfolio Manager at HOOPP involved growing a domestic $1 billion portfolio to a $15 billion global portfolio over 20 years. She has been recognized as an environmental leader both in Canada and Europe.  She won a leadership award from Clean50 for establishing a program of environmental stewardship across Canada.

Additionally she was recognized globally for environmental, social and governance with the IPE industry contribution award in 2019. Prior to that she was instrumental in achieving various strategic awards by the same global association.

Recent public efforts include representing communities to provide input into local developments and environmental policies.  She serves on various boards relating to community building.
