In our latest concept brief, "𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴," we outline a transformative Affordable UPREIT model.

This framework leverages private-sector discipline to create a scalable environment for the mass delivery of affordable rental housing.

Building Use Conversion (Rethink 4Walls)

Our ongoing initiative Rethink 4 Walls (R4W) explores successful office to residential conversions in Canada with research completed by Southern Harbour Limited.

We engage in a dialogue with the City of Ottawa and learn of their successes in these regards providing much needed unconventional housing solutions. We explore more about how building conversions and retrofits can be done in a sustainable and profitable way and what is needed from a policy perspective to enable more of these solutions.
